Village Streetscape Updates | September 28, 2023

Dear Members and Friends of the La Jolla Community Foundation,

We hope this message finds you and your families well. We are pleased to share several updates on the progress of the Village Streetscape Plan.

We’ve updated the Streetscape webpage and more information and renderings are now accessible on our website: View Renderings. Join us at booth 321 during the Jolla Art & Wine Festival on October 7 and 8 to connect in person and explore our vision. Meanwhile, the construction committee is actively reviewing construction bids, and although permitting will take a few months, we aim to commence construction in the fall of 2024.

Funding Milestone and How You Can Help
The question on everyone's mind - funding the project. Prior to the pandemic, Una Davis generously initiated our Capital campaign with a $1 million donation. We are thrilled to report that, with your unwavering support, we have successfully raised nearly $3 million, bringing us closer to our $6.5 million budget for the implementation of this transformative plan.

Your Support Matters
To turn this vision into reality, we kindly invite you to consider supporting the Streetscape Plan by making a tax-deductible donation. Your continued support has been instrumental in getting us this far, and we are grateful for your dedication and commitment to our community. Together, let's make the Village Streetscape Plan a success, creating a space we can all be proud of.

If you have any questions or would like to get involved, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We look forward to connecting with you!

With heartfelt appreciation for your ongoing support,

Phyllis Pfeiffer, Chair

RAMEN NAGI DONATES TO LJCF

Ramen Nagi, a new restaurant at UTC, selected the LJCF as a beneficiary to receive 20% of the opening day proceeds. We had the pleasure of joining the ribbon-cutting ceremony, meeting Master Ramen Chef Satoshi Ikuta and his team, and experiencing the wonderful atmosphere and delicious food! We are grateful for their generous support! THANK YOU!
