Village Streetscape OVERVIEW
Introducing the Village Streetscape Plan, a collaborative initiative dedicated to the revitalization and enrichment of the Village of La Jolla. With a commitment to fostering community, respecting the environment, and ensuring safety and accessibility, the plan's implementation will transform key areas into vibrant spaces that reflect the unique spirit of La Jolla for the benefit of residents, visitors, and local businesses.
Phase One focuses on re-energizing the economy and walkability of the prime retail street in the Village, Girard Avenue from Silverado to Prospect Streets. The Streetscape Plan dynamically expands pedestrian zones, enhances crosswalks, and integrates corner parks. Elegant lighting improves safety, and meticulously planned landscaping provides shade canopies to create inviting community gathering spaces.
